Lunsford’s Back on Top

Just months after losing the Olympia title to Samson Dauda, Derek Lunsford topped “The Nigerian Lion” to win his first-ever Arnold Classic (along with a cool $500,000.) Lunsford also won the Ed Corney Best Poser award, capping off one of the most impressive Arnold Classic debuts in history.

Mike Sommerfeld Impresses Again

It was shocking enough when Mike Sommerfeld came in second place at the 2024 Classic Physique Olympia — now he’s gone and won himself an Arnold Classic title. This win puts Sommerfeld in the running to become the new face of the division after CBum’s retirement, especially as he puts more distance between himself and other top-tier competitors like Wesley Vissers, who tumbled down the leaderboard to fifth place.

Vania Auguste Pulls off the Upset

Vania Auguste is a well-respected competitor, but this victory surprised many, as Aimee Delgado was the heavy favorite coming into the competition. Auguste now has her first major win and has already punched her ticket to the 2025 Olympia. This division just got a whole lot more interesting.
