HISTORY
The Best Shoulders in Bodybuilding History
Boulder shoulder alert!
In bodybuilding, every muscle matters. But the first grouping of muscle fibers that catch most folks’ eyes is the shoulders. Also known as the deltoids, these muscles represent the widest point of a physique for most competitors. Broad shoulders draw the eyes up and create the V-shape that most athletes covet by flowing down into a tight waist.
Like any pro-level show, all competitors have large muscles and sharp conditioning. So what sets one pair of deltoids apart from another? Elite shoulders are both broad and defined. They flow seamlessly into the chest and back, presenting even roundness across the front, lateral, and rear heads.
But who has the most eye-popping, trophy-winning shoulders of all time?
INTERVIEWS
Mike O’Hearn Interviews Tommy Chong
Did you know Tommy Chong learned a lot from bodybuilding? Not sure if he mentioned that during one of those famous comedy specials. We were, uh, preoccupied while watching those.
In episode three of The Mike O’Hearn Show, O’Hearn speaks with actor and comedian Tommy Chong. Chong, 84, is likely best known for his work with Cheech Marin. As the comedic duo “Cheech and Chong,” they won the 1973 Grammy award for Best Comedy Album and released eight movies between 1978 and 2013.
Chong chatted with O’Hearn about Chong’s upbringing: His first job, navigating adolescence amidst poverty, and — here's the important part — the lessons learned from bodybuilding. Check out the full video below.

Jay Cutler: I Call My Training Meditation Now
Ever wonder how some of the greatest bodybuilders of all time change their goals after retiring from the sport?
Four-time Mr. Olympia champion Jay Cutler took to his YouTube channel on June 12, 2022, to share just that. Gone are the days of Cutler trying to hit a certain amount of weight in the gym, amassing a specific number of reps, or achieving the biggest pump. He no longer trains to have a competition-ready physique at 48 years of age. His goals are more aligned with physique maintenance through middle age:
"What do I have to do to maintain a decent physique at my age?"
Cutler used to be a mass monster during his glory days atop the Men’s Open division. Nowadays, he is not interested in having a physique that large. Check out the full video below.

The Puerto Rico Pro results are in, and as we predicted, Hassan Mostafa emerged victorious. Other division winners included Oswaldo Gonzalez (212), Emanuele Ricotti (Classic Physique), Reshanna Boswell (Women's Bodybuilding), and Giselle Machado (Wellness).
Likewise, we've got results from the 2022 Monsterzym Pro Bodybuilding show. (That's SUCH a cool name.)
Chris Bumstead takes ice baths 3 times per week, but maybe not for the reason you expect.
